Blue paint brings a fresh, natural and vibrant feeling into any room, whether you want to choose a subtle eggshell blue for a kitchen, nursery or bathroom or an intense navy blue for a living room. Introduce a blue theme in a bedroom, with harmonising tones such as cream or off-white to soften the effect. Neutral paints allow the depth and variety of shades you’ll find in Graham & Brown blue paints to come to the foreground.
For a more contemporary touch, choose gray paint with cool blue undertones to create a bright yet sophisticated space. Blue is renowned for increasing concentration and focus, which also makes it an excellent choice for a home office or studio. The variety of blue-centric wall murals and signature wallpapers in a huge range of styles also makes this versatile color an ideal choice for heritage homes or to capture that mid-century décor vibe. Blue also includes colors that will perfectly partner with warmer tones such as teal and turquoise, which work particularly well with metallics such as rose gold. Or add a dash of silver to remind you of the ocean waves sparkling in the sunlight.
Are your paints water or oil based?
Each of our paints are water-based, which means they are all low odour and have a lower VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) level than any oil-based paints. It also means they are extremely quick drying, meaning you can get more out of your project in less time. Volatile Organic Compounds contribute to atmospheric pollution when they evaporate (when the paint dries), and they can be found in chemicals used across many industries such as soaps, building materials, and cleaning products.
What’s the difference between your everyday emulsion and resistance ultra durable matt emulsion?
Our Everyday Emulsion has a slight sheen. Our Resistance Ultra Flatt Matte Durable Emulsion has a 1% sheen level with Class:1 Scrubbable classification. But what does this actually mean? Our Resistance Ultra Durable Matte Emulsion is so tough that it will keep its luxurious flat matte finish even after cleaning. That’s right—no lifting paint, leaving white marks, or burnishing when you clean it. It is brilliant for high traffic areas such as hallways and living rooms because of its durability and resistance to bumps and knocks. Our Everyday Emulsion is more suited to lower traffic areas such as spare bedrooms or studies and is perfect for use on any ceilings. Please note: whilst our paints are dry to the touch within a matter of hours, water-based paints take approximately 28 days to fully cure. This is when the paint is 100% dry and has reached its full hardness/durability. Until the paint has fully cured, it will not withstand knocks or wiping/cleaning.
