Blue curtains are a favourite for interior design concepts, effortlessly embellishing fashionable modern and more traditional interiors. The range of hues, from rich navy to the palest pastel blue, makes them endlessly adaptable for every room in the house. Perfectly partner blue curtains with duck egg paint in a nursery to give it a fresh, light yet soothing ambience. Or add a dash of metallic opulence with teal paint in a bedroom to imbue a sense of sophistication and a gentle, restful feel. No matter what colours you partner blue curtains with, they balance beautifully.
Blue is an excellent colour to inspire focus, making it a considered choice for a home office or studio. Add a synergised blue or grey paint with cool undertones and you have a smart, sleek and comfortable space where you can concentrate on your work or attend a video meeting confident that your background looks professional yet homely. Choose blue bathroom curtains to give you plenty of privacy as well as complementing a white and blue colour palette. Or add a pop of colour with blue kitchen curtains that capture that wide-open summer sky feeling. Blue curtains are incredibly adaptable for both on-trend and vintage homes.
What lining do I need for my curtains?
We offer various lining options for our made to measure curtains. Each has its own practical properties while also enhancing the overall look and feel.
- Our standard lining is the most affordable option and is used solely to enhance and give your main fabric a backing, helping to protect the fabric from direct sunlight by filtering out the light in the room whilst also creating a nice drape. This light filtering option is lightweight and produces a soft natural glow in daylight hours. Available in ivory.
- Our satin finish lining is medium weight that gently filters out light whilst creating an improved drape and finish. Satin lining is available in ivory and white.
- Our blackout/thermal lining is a specialised heavyweight lining option and our top pick to eliminate light from the room when drawn. It also helps protect the main fabric from direct sunlight to avoid fading. Our blackout/thermal lining helps keep the room cool in summer by reducing the amount of light dispersing into the room, and during those colder months, it helps retain heat, making this a fantastic choice for bedrooms. Other benefits include reducing energy consumption and noise pollution. This option is ideal for windows and doors with a draft and gives a beautiful drape and finish. Our blackout/thermal lining is available in two colours, ivory and white.
- Interlined curtains contain an extra layer of lining that is placed between your main curtain fabric and the backing/lining. The interlining provides greater thermal efficiency and gives your curtains more body. This is a great option if you want your curtains to have a fuller look, creating a more opulent and luxurious feel.
What kind of fabric is used to make your curtains?
Will there be joins in my Curtains?
Larger curtains will require a join in the fabric. Curtains over 1260mm wide will have a single seam in the fabric. If your fabric contains a pattern, the panels will be pattern matched across the seams.
Are blackout and thermal curtains the same product?
